Copyright Infringement in Nigeria: A Casestudy of Official State Symbols Contained In Photographs

What is Copyright Infringement?

Copyright infringement is the use or exercise of any of the author’s exclusive rights to the copyright-protected material without the permission of the author, first had and obtained. However, where the ownership of a copyrighted work has been completely transferred, either through licensing arrangements or due to the purchase of the work from the author, the unauthorized use of the work does not amount to copyright infringement in favour of the initial author.
