Temiloluwa Dosumu is a Senior Associate/Team Lead at Famsville Solicitors, a fast-growing commercial law firm with a Pan African vision of building a strong alliance with other African firms and setting up offices in major African cities. Prior to this, he pioneered the Fintech and Data Privacy team at Simmons Coopers Partners, before a stint as Corporate Counsel in one of Nigeria’s mega financial entities, Guaranty Trust Bank Plc.
His practice areas span across Fintech, Data Privacy & Protection, Dispute Resolution, Labour/Employment, Corporate/Commercial Transactions, and Banking/Project Finance.
A distinguished alumnus of the University of Lagos, Nigerian Law School, and the NSE X-Academy Fintech Course, he routinely advises various startups on legal/regulatory compliance, and data privacy at the often-misunderstood intersections of law, tech, and business. Temiloluwa holds the membership of several associations which include the Nigerian Bar Association(NBA), Association of International Young Lawyers (AIJA), the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), and the Innovation Law Club Africa (ILCA). In the recent past, he has trained, advised and worked with local and foreign entities, such as the World Bank, on critical issues affecting Nigeria’s digital economy.
In addition to his experience in this Fintech space, Temiloluwa possesses vast experience in Investigations/Anti-Money Laundering, Oil and Gas litigation, Civil/Commercial litigation, Employment Litigation, Criminal litigation and big-ticket recoveries at trial and appellate courts which represent a broad outlook of his professional trajectory. One of his contributions to the dispute resolution ecosystem includes serving on the Wole-Olanipekun SAN led team at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, as Counsel to the President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR; Co-Chair of the steering committee on the NBA Young Lawyers Arbitration Challenge 2020 sponsored by LACIAC and Hogan Lovells to mention but a few. A poet, wordsmith and tourist, Temiloluwa represented Nigeria at the recent AIJA 60 th Congress in Singapore.
