We have secured several numerous decisions in our clients’ favour and successfully enforced these favourable decisions.

Transactional Experience:

  • Represented a foremost West African real estate entity with multi-million dollar landholdings in the West African sub region, in a declaration of title/reclamation suit of 150 hectares at the Federal High Court, Lagos.

  • Defended the interest of an American multinational personal care corporation in an employment suit filed against it at the National Industrial Court by a former employee whose employment was lawfully terminated. The employee claimed damages worth millions of Naira and thousands of dollars, but we were able to prove to the Court that he was not entitled to any of the claims because his employment was lawfully terminated having followed due process. With this, we saved the company millions of naira.

  • Represented two employees whose employment were unlawfully terminated by the Nigerian Subsidiary of a leading South Africa Mobile Communications and ICT Company. We successfully joined the Holding Company as a defendant in this suit and judgment was delivered in our favor to the tune of N20,000,000.00 (Twenty Million Naira).

  • Represented Nigeria’s oldest real estate entity in several suits relating to recovery of possession of land, declaration of title at various trial courts.

  • Advised a local airline operator in Nigeria on Mediation, arbitration and judicial proceedings in respect of a multi-million-naira dispute against a foremost airline regulator in Nigeria.

  • Represented a United Kingdom based investor in mediation proceedings on real estate investments. Parties are now in settlement discussions.

  • Joint Counsel with an SAN firm in a high-profile matter at the Court of Appeal regarding intricate questions of possession, ownership, contempt and jurisdiction at the Court of Appeal for a leading real estate entity.

  • Firm’s lawyers served as Counsel to Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) in a N2.9bn debt recovery portfolio.

  • Represented a major player in the real estate sector before the Lagos State Special Task Force on Land Grabbers in a multi-million naira dispute.
