Nigeria Immigration Service Directs Passport Offices to Work Saturdays

By FSAdmin

In a recent statement released by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), its spokesperson, Tony Akuneme,  disclosed that the NIS has directed passport offices to work on Saturdays due to the high volume of pending passport applications. However, the Saturday proceeding with the Christmas and New Year holidays are exempted.

The period for this exercise is expected to commence from December 3, 2022, to January 28, 2023, between the period of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m

It is believed that this will assist to clear the backlog of passport applications and make passport services available to the traveling public, especially during the festive season.
