He is the Chief Medical Officer of Synlab Nigeria saddled with the responsibility of leading the medical strategy, supporting, and coordinating a sustainable and responsive diagnostic network with the aim of achieving the company mission.

Dr. Afolabi Obe is a result-oriented Pathologist with expertise in management of medical diagnostic laboratory, management of infectious diseases and biological risk management.

He is motivated by providing quality pathology services, which help to improve the health outcome of Nigerians. This is the force behind his love for Synlab Nigeria.

Dr. Afolabi Obe is an executive member of the of College of Nigeria Pathologist (CNP), a member of the Society for Quality Healthcare in Nigeria, a member of Infection Control Africa Network (ICAN), member of Clinical Microbiologist and Infectious diseases Society of Nigeria (CLIMIDSON) member of European Society of Clinical Microbiologist and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID), Biological Safety Association of Nigeria (BSAN) and others.
