He has successfully developed clinical and research laboratories in the US and supported numerous clinical trial diagnostic programs in Africa. His previous experience includes being Director of Laboratory Services at Aeon Technologies LLC where he developed the diagnostic operations from start-up to accreditation and profitability. Prior to that, he was the Manager of Laboratory Operations at Pharmaron Inc where he led a team responsible for lab protocol execution for Phase I/II clinical trial studies. He also has experience working in the customer service organization of Becton Dickinson where he served as the customer liaison for thousands of legacy series microbiology and blood culture platforms. He began his career in the Advanced Technology/HIV Specialty laboratories of Johns Hopkins Medicine where he spent almost a decade leading numerous IVD assay validations and supporting numerous clinical trial testing programs for the AIDS Clinical Trials Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Morgan State University and MPH from Johns Hopkins University. He is board-certified as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
